The Main Hall comprises a large hall with church like beamed ceiling with a stage at rear and a balcony. 120 people can be seated comfortably without using the stage. The flooring is polished wooden with badmington court markers. Period feature windows, let in lots of light with roller blinds available.
The Kennedy Room, adjacent to the entrance lobby, is normally included when the Hall is hired. It has a large hatch through to the Hall and is used as a bar for drinks and light refreshments. The Kennedy Room is not available for separate hire.
The Committee Room is also adjacent to the entrance lobby and may be hired separately for small meetings (eg up to approx 16 people). Flip chart available. It is not available when a major event is taking place in the Main Hall.
The Treatment Room is located to the rear of the hall and is currently in use by a local osteopath and chiropodist, however it also functions as a dressing room for hall performances and becomes a storage area when the whole hall is booked for one event.
The kitchen is of medium size with a central island and window to the rear outdoor space. The kitchen contains a large cooker and a refrigerator, sink unit with hot water, range of storage unit and work surfaces.
Entrance lobby with stairs to the balcony. Separate ladies and gents lavatories are at the rear of the main hall.
A disabled access ramp is accessible to the front of the hall. Unfortunately a disabled toilet is not currently available.
In addition to the Empire Hall, Graffham Recreation Ground is a lovely village amenity, with a pavilion, children’s playground, car parks and well-maintained playing surfaces.
The pavilion’s club room is available to hire (£15 per hour). It is a fantastic venue for a social gathering or recreational event: e.g. birthday party, keep fit class, coffee morning, committee meeting, painting club. The pavilion can also be hired with the field for football matches, cricket matches, bouncy castles, and wedding marquees. There are sufficient fold out tables and cushioned chairs to seat 120 people. There is a range of kitchen equipment, crockery and cutlery in the kitchen, however users should check that this is adequate for their event when hiring.
There is a separate refrigerator in the Kennedy Room/Bar, together with work surfaces and sinks for washing up glasses.
