Graffham Empire Movies
Spring 2020 season
Graffham Empire Movies (GEM) has been bringing some of the latest and greatest blockbusters to the silver screen in our very own village’s wonderful Empire Hall for many years, in conjunction with West Sussex-based professional touring cinema Cinema2U.
It has built a tradition of screening great films with an opportunity for friends and neighbours to meet and greet, and all at prices which represent incredible value compared with the big town cinemas.
Doors open at 7 pm for screenings at 7.30 pm. Tickets are sold at the door – £7.50 for adults and £5 for under 18s.
Refreshments are available from the bar before the screening and during the interval – cold and hot drinks and tasty nibbles.
To help keep GEM financially viable, we are very grateful for the support from a number of local businesses – and encourage filmgoers to support them in return

Based on the incredible life of the iconic novelist Colette who fought for female empowerment and revolutionised literature and fashion in late 19th Century France.
After marrying an older man, she moves from her childhood rural home to the intellectual and artistic splendour of Paris, where her husband convinces her to write a novel to be published under his name – which becomes a sensation.
With towering performances by Keira Knightley and Dominic West, its beautiful belle epoque costumes, scenery, props and filming make a real treat for the eye.
The GEM committee voted unanimously to open the spring 2020 season with this amazing movie.
